Heather Burns-DeMelo is founder of GreenScenes LLC, a sustainability consulting, marketing and strategy firm helping companies; government and non-profit organizations implement sustainability for greatest return. In working to bridge the gap between people, planet and profit she has consulted for a US Naval base, national directory publishers, corporations, universities, non-profit and community organizations and micro business.

She is the executive director for Connecticut Alliance for Sustainable Enterprise and has presented for PEW Center for Global Climate Change and ALCOA Foundation as well as participated in panel discussions on various topics related to sustainability.

She and her work have been published in national publications such as The New York Times, Scientific American, E: The Environmental Magazine, and others.

She helps Danolas Productions to develop value for its sponsors and advertisers who support Shades of Green: New England, Planet before Profits, and From the Green Files.
