Shades of Green
Premiering on at 10:30pm on April 18, 2010 on WGBY, Shades of Green: New England is a weekly magazine-format show that highlights the green movement sweeping the nation. This half-hour program showcases New England companies that have an environmental mission linked with their business plan – some putting “planet” before profits; others demonstrating that being green can also be good for business.
The pilot episode profiles EcoFish, a New Hampshire based seafood distributor that sources high quality, all natural seafood from sustainable fisheries and the fashion design firm GG2G, “Green Goods 2 Give and 2 Get.” GG2G was founded by two young women who create trendy bags, belts, headbands, and wallets from used billboards.
The program’s “From the Green Files” segment shows viewers how they can make green choices that don’t cost anything, but go a long way toward decreasing their carbon footprint.
